Why Choose This Work
Professional Training and Ethical Practice
At Carly Du Clinical Hypnotherapy, sessions are provided with a strong foundation in professional training, ethical practice, and ongoing learning.
This includes:
Training through the Canadian Academy of Clinical Hypnotherapy or other CACHE-approved educational institutions
Registration with CACHE Canada — Canadian Association of Counselling Hypnotherapists and Educators
Practice guided by a professional code of ethics
Completed vulnerable sector and criminal background check
Ongoing continuing education to support best practices and current clinical awareness
This foundation helps ensure that sessions are offered with care, professionalism, and respect for each client’s individual needs.
Client-Centered, Trauma-Informed Care
Every client is different, and every session is shaped around the person in front of me.
My approach is personalized, client-centered, and trauma-informed. I work at a pace that respects your comfort level, your readiness, and your consent. You are never pushed, rushed, or expected to go somewhere emotionally before you feel prepared.
This work may include clinical hypnotherapy, eye movement work, NLP, parts work, inner child work, subconscious repatterning, and practical integration tools. The focus is not only on what you want to change, but also on understanding the deeper patterns that may be keeping those reactions, emotions, or habits in place.
Collaboration with Counselling Support
Carly Du Clinical Hypnotherapy is an independent practice and is separate from Mountain Top Counselling. However, I collaborate with counsellors at Mountain Top Counselling, when appropriate and with client consent.
This collaboration may include two-way referrals. Clients from Mountain Top Counselling may be referred to Carly Du Clinical Hypnotherapy when hypnotherapy or subconscious-pattern work may be a helpful addition to their counselling process. I may also refer clients to Mountain Top Counselling when counselling, mental health support, or a broader therapeutic approach may be more appropriate or beneficial.
I am also able to collaborate with a client’s existing counsellor, therapist, psychologist, physician, or other care provider when it would support continuity of care. This only happens with written client consent and within appropriate professional boundaries.
The purpose of collaboration is to help clients receive the type of support that best fits their needs, while respecting confidentiality, consent, and each provider’s professional scope.
Subconscious and Mind-Body Approach
Many people come to hypnotherapy because they already understand their struggles logically, but still feel caught in automatic reactions, emotional patterns, self-doubt, or old responses that are difficult to change through willpower alone.
My work focuses on the connection between the subconscious mind, emotional responses, body-based patterns, and daily behaviour. Instead of only working with surface-level mindset or performance goals, sessions are designed to support change at a deeper level, where many automatic patterns are stored and repeated.
The goal is to help you respond differently from the inside out.
Structured Sessions and a Clear Path Forward
Clients often choose this work because it offers both support and direction.
You can expect:
Thoughtfully designed sessions, so you are not left guessing what comes next
A personalized session plan based on your goals and current needs
Clear explanation of the process before we begin
Practical tools to support integration between sessions
A focus on meaningful, sustainable change
Depending on your goals, this work may support emotional steadiness, improved confidence, calmer responses, faster recovery from stress, healthier inner patterns, and long-term personal change.
If you are looking for support that is compassionate, structured, and grounded in both subconscious work and trauma-informed care, this is the heart of the work I offer.
